We are building our Curio talent pool in Southeast Asia for contract opportunities that are coming up in the future within the e-learning development area. Therefore, we are seeking e-learning developers.
Kindly note that this role is not guaranteed full time work.We will be able to offer contract opportunities across multiple client projects over a particular period of time (short-term and long-term). Based on suitability, we intend to take you through our recruitment process and onboard you into our 'talent pool', so that when the right opportunity arises in the next few weeks / months, we are able to engage and onboard you quite quickly.
About the Role:
Understand the content structure and build online courses which involve using an editor in a learning management system. Ex: adding lectures, video, assessments, project directions, and activities for new courses
Copy content from a word document into the LMS (Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle)
Revise existing course content based on feedback
Participate in information exchange with educators or other LMS admins
Understand and fix LMS issues concerned with LMS design, infrastructure or configuration
Manage the testing and evaluation of new features and tools that integrate with the LMS by facilitating and managing external product
Responsible for second-level support of learning management system (LMS) content, daterestrictions, master course and section creation, assessments/test banks, course revisions, etc.
Provide quality assurance and adherence to copyright and intellectual property guidelines.
Other ad-hoc tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
Has at least 3 years of experience in a related or equivalent role
Strong English communication skills, both oral and written
Strong knowledge of learning management systems, like Canvas, Moodle and Blackboard
Familiarity with online learning and technology, instructional, graphic, and/or web design or development skills
Basic understanding of HTML, CSS and Javascript would be helpful
Ability to interpret system needs and construct system processes
Has excellent decision-making abilities and takes the initiative to ensure projects adhere to deadlines
High level of problem-solving skills
Proven ability to continually adapt and learn new procedures and software programs
Comprehensive knowledge of current instructional theories and principles
Knowledge of Web based instruction
Knowledge of information architecture principles and methods
Familiarity with graphical design elements appropriate for online instruction
Collaborative team player able to work both in and with cross-functional teams at all levels
Demonstrates the ability to manage time and resources
Highly organized and pays careful attention to detail
Independent, self-sufficient, and highly resourceful
Values integrity and reliability
Has a good initiative to keep the client abreast at all time
