Objectives of this role:
Curio is looking for a Recruiter with a genuine interest in learning and academia to join our team for a short-term, three-month contract. This role is perfect for someone who understands (or is eager to learn) the nuances of higher education, online facilitation, and AQF standards – and who thrives in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment.
You’ll play a vital role in building our network of exceptional educators, facilitators, and learning designers who help deliver high-impact learning experiences across Australia and beyond.
Required skills for the role:Talent Acquisition
- Source, screen, and interview high-quality faculty and education specialists across various disciplines.
- Actively build talent pipelines and headhunt for niche and high-demand roles.
- Own end-to-end recruitment processes and ensure a smooth, engaging experience for all candidates.
Academic & Learning Sector Focus
- Apply (or develop) your understanding of AQF standards and the evolving landscape of online learning.
- Evaluate candidate experience in digital, blended, and traditional academic environments.
- Collaborate with internal teams to forecast academic needs and align recruitment efforts accordingly.
Stakeholder Partnership
- Work closely with Faculty Services, Learning Designers, and People & Culture teams to ensure the right fit for every role.
- Act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers, bringing insights on market trends and educator engagement strategies.
Process & Innovation
- Continuously refine recruitment strategies and leverage smart tools to attract and engage top-tier academic talent.
- Contribute to Curio’s employer brand as a leading place to work for educators and facilitators.
- 3+ years’ experience in recruitment, preferably with exposure to higher education or learning environments.
- Understanding of (or strong interest in learning about) AQF standards and online education models.
- A passion for learning, curiosity for how education works, and a drive to support the academic experience.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
- Experience in proactive sourcing and building pipelines for hard-to-fill roles.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, growing environment with competing priorities.
